eric13 Releases Solo Acoustic Album

by Sex Slaves on Dec.05, 2010, under Updates

Our own eric13 has just released a brand new solo acoustic album entitled ‘ritual dance’. Recorded this past summer during a few weeks of Sex Slaves downtime, the album showcases some of the songs from the eric13 acoustic shows like “Miss You Like the Beatles” and “Dead Boy”, as well as some brand new original tracks “Out of Luck” and “Please Kill Me.”

in eric’s word’s :

“over the course of this past summer, i went into the studio with my good friend eric bower and recorded some new deconstructions of songs i’ve been playing in my solo acoustic shows over the last few years.
i had no plan of what songs i’d do at first, instead just showing up at the studio and playing whatever i felt like that day. it was relaxed and fun, and in the little time we had we put together this group of songs. some I wrote with friends years ago, some were recorded the day written, you may recognize others if you know my band.
a ritual dance and a lover’s plea.”

Del Cheetah survives explosion on stage!

by Sex Slaves on Dec.02, 2010, under Updates

SEX SLAVES bassist Del Cheetah “lit up” the stage in Baltimore, Maryland last week during his well known fire breathing stunt; but the trick turned deadly and Cheetah unfortunately suffered burns on the face, neck and head when the blaze turned back on him. The packed house of people was stunned and confused as the scene unfolded. But amazingly, Cheetah finished the song! A true rocknroll trooper!!
Very special thanks to our amazing and life saving stage tech who rushed out and doused the blaze quickly. Bandmates J/Bomb and eric13 convinced Del after the song to seek medical help, and the show was stopped. A YouTube video is floating around documenting the frightening incident, and you can see the flames, fright and the ultimate completion of the tune.

Thankfully, the professionals at Johns Hopkins Medical center treated and released him the next morning, and he is currently on the road to recovery…feel free to send him some love via our Facebook page.
